It incorporates fabrics from many Montana Quilt Stores!

They are all Batiks from Hoffman Fabrics designed by the quilt store owners and friends.

The stores that are involved are:

Quilt Gallery, Kalispell, owner and designer Marianne Buller: these are the blocks with the Glacier National Park logos. 

The ones with the goats represent the BSNF railway, for which her father worked.

Also from Quilt Gallery are the fabrics, “Montana Memories” designed by Joan Hogeboom, former owner of this store.  These are in the four corner blocks, and the backing.  If you look closely, you will see bitterroot flowers, ponderosa pinecones, white pine needles, and huckleberries. 

Quilters Corner Etc., Deer Lodge, owner: Gwynne Bossert.   Their fabric, “Foraging 406” has the Montana map, as well as other iconic Montana symbols.

Glacier Quilts, Kalispell: owner, Susan Gilman.  These are the fabrics with Montana symbols such as cherries, huckleberries, bears, and the word Glacier – representing Glacier National Park.

Quilts Kits to Go, Whitefish, owner: Peggy Banka. The fabrics from this shop are animal batiks.  They are characterized by horses, elk, sheep, bear, cutthroat trout, and even their footprints.
